September 2007 Continued....

Well what can I say??? We have been busy every weekend this month...

September 10th was Sayli's FIRST day of preschool at a big girl school! She did very well (at least better than mommy). She LOVES school...even when she isn't at school she pretend plays school. She loves to be the teacher (yes, she is bossy)!!!

On September 14th we took a trip to Sioux City for Carl's nephew, Brogan's FIRST birthday on September 15th (technically his birthday isn't until September 21st though). We had a blast....until our trip home when my van decided to break down and we had to spend the night in a hotel in Missouri Valley. The kids loved it but Carl and I really wanted to get home!

On September 21st-23rd we went camping with some friends of ours in Moravia, IA. We rented a cabin and had a blast! Sayli didn/t want to leave on Sunday. Seeing that September 22nd was Carl's birthday I surprised him with a golf cake but now he says "Next year, NO MORE CAKES. I want cupcakes!" He is so cute...I absolutely LOVE him!

This past weekend was quite eventful...

On September 28th Carl and I decided to have my mom take the kids overnight so we could celebrate "OUR BUYING A HOUSE!" and Carl's Birthday!!!! We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse which we highly suggest....it was awesome (be sure to try the cinnamon butter) Then we went to Zimms' and met up with some friends and ended the night at Impulse (a gay bar). We had a blast!

Then the next day, September 29th (my dad's birthday) we had a Surprise 50th Birthday party for my mom...She was surprised!!! My grandma made enchiladas, beans and fruit salad and by the end of the party it was all gone...

September 2007

So far, this month has been pretty mild....

We started out the month with my grandma turning 87 years old on the 1st! She is a truly amazing woman...never selfish! She would give you her very last dollar. I live everyday to be more like that. But, I have to admit I am not the best at it...I tend to be pretty selfish. I am just amazed at how strong of a woman she is after all she has been through. Carl, the kids and I couldn't imagine life without her.


As for me... on Tuesday the 4th I started my Fall semester at Mercy College. I am only taking 2 classes so that I can focus on my Anatomy class this semester (my 2nd time taking it). I am a little scared but very hopeful!

Carl...poor Carl! the kids and I have come down with Strep throat this week so he has been avoiding us like the plague as to not get it. I tease him that since he has not gotten it that means he don't give me enough kisses (I am only half teasing him though). Haha Anyways I pray he don't get it because it is kicking my butt!!!


Well, I will write an update next week as Sayli starts preschool at a BIG girl school on Monday. Scary stuff to think that this time next year she will be starting Kindergarten. Guess then it will be time to have another baby....haha just kidding. The two we have now keep us busy enough!
